One of the first two pro athletes to sign with Kanye West's controversial sports focused marketing organization, “Donda Sports” , Jaylen Brown told the Boston Globe this Monday, October 24th, that he will stay with the company but still disagrees with Kanye West's recent comments. That relationship is now completely over, as Jaylen Brown revealed in a statement on Twitter. The Boston Celtics won handedly over the Minnesota Timberwolves the other night. They are cruising, now as a number one seed in the eastern conference. The star duo, Jaylen and Jayson, had 31 and 34 points respectively. A great offensive outing. The defense, at this point, speaks for itself. Another lopsided score, and another tally in the win column. Yet, troubling times lay ahead, due to Robert Williams' in-game injury. He is a crucial part of the team. Out indefinitely with a meniscus tear, the Celtics are going to need a replacement. The timetable for his return range between several weeks to months. Robert Williams missed the game due to right patella tendinopathy in his leg. This is the medical name for the more commonly known "jumper's knee". The Celtics have been beating teams who are supposed to be contenders. When does that finally mean that we are contenders as well? Although Stephen Curry was injured in a purely hustle play, the Golden State Warriors should have kept up with the Celtics. The Dubs beat the Celts last year, on December 17th, 2021. While the story at the beginning of the year was mainly about their defense, the Boston Celtics deserve some credit for the electrifying offense that they have recently been playing. They regularly create highlight worthy plays. More seriously, they are truly playing like a contending team. Blowing out teams on a regular basis, this team is one you will have to watch out for. The Derrick White trade was a surprising one when it was first broken during the chaotic times of the trade deadline. Boston exchanged Josh Richardson, Romeo Langford, and two picks for Derrick White. Since the trade, the Celtics have won 10 out of the last 12 games they’ve played. He has averaged about 10 points, 3 assists, 3 rebounds, and 1 block. Shortly after the trade, in an interview, head coach Ime Udoka said that “He checks a ton of boxes. He's a perfect fit on and off the court. A guy who's going to come right in and be selfless, work hard offensively and defensively.
